The legal proposal has been welcomed with great interest by the attending participants. The numerous questions focused on such issues as the definition of tolerance, group libel, aggrevated crime, hate speech and others.
It was concluded that the Framework Statute can be an interesting point of departure for legislative initiatives in national Parliaments. In this regard, the Hungarian participants expressed their satisfaction that this model law will be presented in the Hungarian Parliament. Many of the participants of this conference subscribed for the ECTR Seminar in the Parliament that would be held on the next day.
The main organizer of the Conference was the Political Capital Institute from Budapest.
